🎒 Plot-wide House Storage + Quick Transfer

Verified (patch 1.1.41): House Storage and Quick Transfer work from anywhere on your plot—including barns and greenhouses—so you do not need to run home to stash loot. Crafting stations still auto-pull from storage. Start with 20 bag slots (tools don't use slots), buy upgrades at Sabrina · Webb of Wonders, and use Chester as your overnight selling box. When in doubt, store it, don't sell. Quick Transfer steps → · Do & Don't table →

Quick Inventory Answer

Starting bag is 20 slots (tools don't use slots) — pay 2,000g at Sabrina in Webb of Wonders for the first upgrade to 30 slots, then 20,000g for the second. Home storage is unlimited — patch 1.1.41+ opens House Storage anywhere on your plot (barns, greenhouses) with Quick Transfer to and from your bag; crafting still auto-pulls materials. Chester is your living shipping box — unlock via town hall and sell items overnight. When in doubt, store it, don't sell.

Build order: Start with 20 slots → buy Upgrade I at Sabrina (2,000g) → use unlimited House Storage (plot-wide + Quick Transfer since patch 1.1.41) → get Chester via town hall → organize by lane → save for Upgrade II (20,000g). See sections below.

🏠 Home Storage & Universal Access

Home storage is effectively unlimited — crafting pulls from storage automatically, so you don't need to carry materials in your bag. Verified (patch 1.1.41 · T1): House Storage opens from anywhere on your plot—including barns and greenhouses—and Quick Transfer moves items to and from storage in both directions (Marvelous USA patch notes, Jul 15). You do not need to run home to stash loot after barn or greenhouse sessions.

How to use Quick Transfer

Verified (T1): Quick Transfer works bidirectionally between your bag and House Storage. Reported (T2): open House Storage from the plot, then use the in-game Quick Transfer prompt in the inventory UI to move a stack — button labels vary by platform; we do not list keybinds here. See Wiki — Controls & UI.

1

Open House Storage from anywhere on your farm plot — barns, greenhouses, and fields included (patch 1.1.41+; not only the indoor chest)

2

Use in-game Quick Transfer to deposit or withdraw stacks between your bag and House Storage in both directions

3

Craft at any station — materials still pull automatically from House Storage

4

Sort stored items with the sort button when reorganizing lanes

Quick Transfer vs decorating mode

Quick Transfer and plot-wide House Storage apply on the farm — decorating mode still cannot open storage; pull items into your bag before entering decorate mode (see decorating & storage below).

⚖️ What to Keep vs What to Sell

When in doubt, store it — don't sell. First catches of each critter and fish go to the museum. Sell surplus crops and duplicates after donation.

📋 How to Organize Your Bag

Split your bag into three lanes: staples, potion ingredients, and gift-test items — with plot-wide House Storage + auto-pull crafting (patch 1.1.41+), bag pressure is lower than early demo reporting suggested.

Staples & Crops

Food and crop rows you actually eat or sell — keep one stack, not mixed with hobby loot.

Potion Ingredients

Herbs and forage reserved for witch recipes — separate from staples so you don't burn crafting mats on gifts.

Gift-Test Items

🗄️ Storage Upgrades & Chests

Home storage is your primary storage — unlimited from the start. Outdoor chests are late-game supplementary for farm-adjacent convenience (e.g., stashing flowers and tools near your fields). There's no traditional chest unlock chain — universal storage replaces it.

💡 Priority tip

Upgrade your bag before your house. Home storage is already unlimited — the bag is your real bottleneck early on.

🎨 Decorating & Storage Access

Decorating mode cannot access storage. You need to place furniture and items into your backpack before entering decorating mode. Plan your decoration layouts in advance — no mid-decoration storage retrieval.

⚠️ Before you decorate

Pull everything you need from storage into your bag first. Once decorating mode is active, you can't open storage to grab more items.
